We’ve been here in Yuma, Arizona along with all the other Snowbird’s from different parts of the U.S. and Canada. Their here to enjoy the nice winter weather. While in town, we are visiting Jason’s Grandparents.
Jason was taking tennis lessons to brush up on rules and regulation. For he will be in his 1st Annual YTA Juniors and Seniors Doubles Tennis Event, on Saturday Jan 27, 2007. This is being held at Mesa Del Sol courts in the Foot Hills.

Mesa Del Sol tennis center, located on 12457 Via Hermosa. Tele. # (928) 329-0363/ www.yta.cc.

Jason is also taking individual guitar lessons, offered though Yuma recreation department. His classes are held in the historical section of the downtown art center, on Main street. If your interested in pottery, basket weaving, painting, metal, glazing, ect. The art center has many things to look at and to purchase. You should check them out.

Do you like to golf? I counted 16 golf courses in Yuma, and there are more in the close towns of Welton and Somerton.

Jason is a highly motivated individual. If it weren’t for this type of personality we wouldn’t be traveling in an RV. It takes a special person to get himself up everyday and start his homework routine without us saying a word. Not only does Jason put in about 2-4 four hours of school work a day. He is also typing all this information, in this blog. For you see I cant type fast, (maybe a paragraph an hour). I pre-write an article, give it to Jason, and he adds additional information as he types.

Jason older brother (Robby) is the one who st up the blog for us. when Jason had to learn to add a picture, or a joke, from another website he would simple call his brother for advice. Robby can always make it work. While working together they exceed all expectations. I am so grateful for having such awesome boys.

So part of Jason’s school work happens to be this blog.

Feel free to grade any of his work.

Have your noticed that you computer monitor, after a few years of use is not as clear as it was when new? Well, that’s because electrostatic charges cause micro-etching on the interior surface of the glass which can degrade the picture quality.

As a result you end up straining your vision and visual acuity can suffer…. BUT… GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason is 16 year’s old, he is in 10th grade, traveling on the road.

Home School, Carter School, and satellite School. What do we Do? whats the difference? and which one would our son Jason benefit from?

Charter School. This is the program all three of us choose. Jason likes the fact the he has text books too study with. I like it because I’m not putting curriculum together, and Mark likes it because it’s free.

One of our options for schooling was called Home school. Ok I knew nothing about home school. I’m sure i still don’t know that much. When i found out that we, the parents, were the full time teachers i knew that would not be viable. Not only do we teach, we have to put the curriculum together. and purchase all the materials including textbooks. This might have been fine, if Jason was a younger child, but being in 10th grade their is no way.

Though’s were all the questions going threw Mark’s (Jason’s dad) and my head. I knew from going on-line that satalite school was an option. Their are quite a few programs offered to grads K-8th. but when it came to High School we were surprised to find it wasn’t so easy.

Subject: See if you can spot the differences.

There are two photos are identical, well except for supposedly three
small differences; just like in the ole Hightlight magazine.

So, you have to find the three differences.

If you do find the three differences; then you are part of an elite group of individuals.

On our travels, we found that RPI was one of our frequently used memberships.  They seem to have their parks, at the prime locations, were other memberships are not. We prefer RPI as a basic membership to have.

All RPI parks charge an eight dollar fee, per day.

For RPI information and park locations, their website is available to you.

Visit:  http://www.rpipreferred.com/

Coast to Coast is similar to RPI. They charge eight dollars a night, but when making a reservation (which is required) they charged us ten dollars as a fee.

But since then we heard that the reservation fee was uplifted do to major complaints.

Also when making our reservations at some of the parks in Oregon, we were turned down by the parks, for they no longer honor the Coast to Coast membership.

But we will not give up on Coast to Coast, I’m sure that we will still use their membership in the future.

For more Coast to Coast information, please visit their website.
